5Qs: Tas & Caitlin
Instead of typing up our responses to you, we made a video of us answering these 5 questions:
1. What would you have done to ever get stuck in a Vegas jail? 2. Beyond technology, what’s one thing you can’t live without? 3. What’s the worst you’ve ever screwed someone over? 4. If you were born a dude, what would you be like? 5. What the craziest thing you’ve done while at USC?
Unfortunately, the video wouldn’t render. So now you’re left wondering…WHAT WERE THE ANSWERS?!? They will be in the issue. Draft release in a few hours!
From the Age of the DJ: another snippet from a "created" conversation between DJ Alejandro and Musician Haley Dreis
DJ: There’s more people DJing now because they can do it since the price of technology has gone down so much – it’s sort of exploded in that way. Before, if you had a guitar, a drum set, a bass guitar, you pretty much had a band. The technology we have now allows a lot of people to get into DJing while before they couldn’t.
Musician: Absolutely. And Top-40 music is turning a completely different direction from what it was in the 90s and 70s. There were so many more popular singer/songwriters in the industry back then. With Lady Gaga and Dr. Luke, all these people spreading dance music and the trends from Europe like techno, DJ music is becoming more popular. A lot of us as singers/songwriters are suffering.
