Protip for people in apartments or with people living downstairs:

It’s common courtesy to remove your hard-soled shoes if there’s someone below you. This includes heels, cowboy boots, and men’s dress shoes. 

Do your neighbor a favor and remove them as soon as you get home, and only put them on right as you leave. It sounds like a horse is walking around above and it’s super annoying.

You might not think you’re being loud, but I can assure you that you most certainly are XD

Roommate 101-3

This applies to those in small dorm rooms, like myself. If your room is arranged such that only their desk is in between both beds, do NOT set stuff on their desk. That is their space. You have your own desk. Set shit their. No one cares if it's convenient because it's also next to your desk, because again, that is THEIR SPACE. They don't go and put their water bottles and homework and electronics on your desk. Because that's weird. So why would it be any different for you to put stuff on theirs? So don't do it, it's annoying and you're using space and furniture that isn't yours.

Do not lock your door from the outside while you are inside. When you leave, your roomie will not realize your/their door is locked, and if they close the door because they have to go to the bathroom, they will be locked out. And it IS your fault. So don't do it, it's stressful and stupid. Lock it from the inside.

When your roommate is sleeping or trying to sleep during the night, do not use the microwave. It does not MAGICALLY get quieter. It's loud and will wake them up. So don't do it, it's rude.

Okay Tumblr, I'm opening the floor up to you

Cam and I are getting a kitten and we cannot for the life of us agree on a name - I'm afraid she will be nameless for her first few weeks at our pad

Her current name is Alphie, which I think is cute but CamCam doesn't like it (I also don't think she likes it when I call her CamCam but that's another story)
