The Connection Between Root Chakra and Crystal Healing
“You cannot balance the other chakras without first tending to the root chakra. “ Yes, the root chakra is the connection point to the earth keeping us grounded. When the root chakra is balanced, we feel confident, independent and trusting. It helps us grow in all aspects of our lives ‒ spiritually, physically, and mentally. But when it is blocked, it makes us anxious and stressed and we can lose interest in our most basic of needs.
CRYSTALS FOR THE ROOT CHAKRA
Since root chakra is the main chakra, healing it is necessary. And crystals can be the easiest way to achieve this.
Red and Black colored crystals that are considered to be the elements of fire and earth respectively are the colors associated with the root chakra. Other crystals, such as hematite and onyx have multiple uses. For added measure, one can wear a clear quartz crystal to amplify the vibration.

MEDITATING WITH CRYSTAL ENERGY
Meditation has always been a great source of healing and energy. And meditating with crystals is like an add-on.
To meditate with healing crystals, lay on your stomach. Choose a place for laying where you will feel comfortable and at peace. Now place the stone on your tailbone. Make sure it won’t fall. You can also lay on your back if laying on the stomach isn’t comfortable. Holding the stone in your hand near the chakra point can also be beneficial. Either keep it on your body so that it won’t fall off. If you want to meditate while sitting, hold the stone in your cupped palm near your root chakra as you meditate. Now begin with taking some deep breaths. Try to feel the vibration of the stone.
You can also play meditative music that is designed to stimulate the root chakra. There are many good videos on Gaiam TV about sound waves, such as Cymatics: Bringing Matter to Life with Sound and Fractal Meditation, and Astral Traveler.
The root chakra is also linked with the sense of smell. To enhance your balancing and cleansing, burning essential oils is another great way. Other scents you can use are nutmeg, ginger, cedar, vetiver, myrrh, and cinnamon. You can also try a combination of your choice or something else associated with the root chakra.
You might not know this but exercise is a good tool as well. Sit cross-legged on the ground or go for a walk. If you practice yoga, incorporate a standing forward bend into your regime.
