Root, with Marquise, Eyrie, Cult, and Vagabond. Root always feels to me like it photographs disappointingly, so I like to filter it up. The three non-Cult factions were incredibly close until right at the end when the Vagabond pulled away. I like this mix of factions; the Cult is weird but pretty interesting, and ditching the problematic Alliance is a plus for me (the Alliance is cool, but keeping them contained is very delicate and easy for non-veterans to screw up, letting the Alliance run away with the game). We used the winter board, for the first time I think. It was fine, but since we had a pretty normal distribution of clearing suits it didn’t feel that different. This has been on a bit of a hiatus for a while, so it was cool to play again. Looking forward to the expansion. #bgg #boardgamegeek #boardgamenight #tabletopgames #rootgame #ledergames https://www.instagram.com/p/B6zokLZBA5Z/?igshid=16qzxpo6qvvnb
