I'm sensitive in more ways than one. 😄 Not only do I cry easily at a hint of sadness in a movie, my eyes tear up with most eye makeup, and my skin is very sensitive, as well. You all know I love to treasure hunt and I'm fortunate to have stumbled upon a treasure of a natural cosmetics and skincare company called Root that's based only a half hour away from where I live here in Iowa. During a point last year, I couldn't wear eye makeup at all. My eyelids would swell and eyes would painfully burn. Because I'm self-employed, I like to maintain a getting-ready routine to give myself a kick in the pants (or more often, a skirt or dress) each morning, so being able to feel "myself" again with non-chemical, natural ingredients that are gentle on my sensitivities has been a blessing for my busy life. Since I regularly do makeup on my models, I'd like to incorporate Root into our routines and ultimately into my photos for the shop. My favorites are Root's shea-butter lipsticks, here in the color "Jenny" and their "100% Lash" mascara--there's coffee in it!
