There’s two other books called Rose Under Fire and The Pearl Thief that are related to the book - idk how closely, they’ve been on my bookshelf for ages but I’m still too scared to read them because Code Name Verity was so damn emotional
I saw! They look good, if very different. I’ll definitely read them eventually (hopefully not six years later), but honestly, I think if I read them right now, they would suffer from Not Being Code Name Verity Syndrome. Which would be a tragedy, and is why I’m now rereading Night Watch for the millionth time, because that never suffers from anything. And won’t make me cry again, and (despite being perfect) has never left me unable to read anything else.
