A Cross Between Two Worlds

HE HAD A SOLO MISSION to do. For once, he was permitted to go outside Cross Academy on his own. Which was a good thing, since he could do things easily without having to think about the others’ welfare. Sometimes, doing group mission was difficult. He wasn’t good at socializing. 

        The downside of doing a solo mission was that, it drained his energy, since he had to deal with hordes of level-Es alone. But he was self-assured, and he knew that he could do it. The association trusted his capabilities as a hunter. Without second thoughts, he aimed his gun at the crazed vampire. It’d be the last one he’d kill for today . . . hopefully. 

        When the coast was clear, he lowered his weapon, although his grip was still on it. Thereafter, a movement caught his attention. Ten feet away from him, he saw a girl wandering around the woods, and behind her was a level-E in tow; it looked ecstatic that he finally found his meal. 

        “Look out!” he bellowed at the top of his lungs. And before the horrendous creature could come near the girl, he raised Bloody Rose and pulled the trigger, the bullet directly eliminating the level-E as it disintegrated into dust.
