Feeling some of the wind knocked out of him as she hugged him; he didn’t feel upset but rather the opposite. “I don’t know. I shouldn’t be surprised, but still.” He grinned joyfully as he held her tightly. Releasing her from the hug, he pulled her into the room and turned to close the door. “I am lovely. Getting reestablished in the old neighborhood. What has given you such a great attitude?”
She chuckled. "Get used to it." She followed him inside happily, beaming like a total idiot, she was sure, but there wasn't much that could stop her joy at this point. "That's great. If I can do anything to help, just give me a call, yeah? But oh, I don't know - things have just been nice, that's all. With Clara, and with work, and now with you being home..."
