Glitch || Thomas & Rory
Recently showered, Thomas left Tessa in their room. No promises to come back, just a simple kiss before he headed out the door and walked out into the parking lot. Several teams were preparing to head out, speaking with the respective partners and making plans as to how they were going to distribute themselves and what the priority was. He absently listened to the low chatter despite that could be heard under the screams as he cleaned his guns and waited for the woman he was paired with to show up.
Sitting on the roof of his black Land Rover Defender, his legs dangled off the passenger side lazily. Their task was a two-story house, nothing too big. Unless it had a confusing layout, Thomas imagined they would be in and out in about two hours, if they really raked through the place. However, having Rory as a partner for this particular situation didn't give him much ease. He remembered that she had said that she was trying to make herself useful, that she could do passive things, and while he had no idea what kind of magic the blue runes on her skin had given her, he was certain being passive was not going to save them if they encountered something not-so-friendly on their mission.
The last raid that group had done had been way back when they were staying at the high school. He had been paired with Scott, and while he hadn't been sure of the man's character or bravery, he had managed to pull through. It seemed he would have to trust Rory as well, no matter he internally cringed at the thought of having a nervous kid watching his back while they looked through an enclosed space.
Taking a final deep breath, Thomas threw the dirty cloth through the passenger side's broken window before jumping lithely off the roof. He walked over to the back, opened the door and started rifling through the boxes of ammo. He was still looking for the long bullets the large gun used when he heard the sound of footsteps behind him. "Hope you brought your gun." He commented to the person behind him, assuming Rory had showed up.
