How did you do your favourite Avengers Caps thingys?

I'll try my best to explain! I made this up as I made the edit, so it might not make much sense. If you have any questions, I'll answer them :)

I started with a blank 500px by 500px canvas and the background contents "transparent".

I made a 100px circle, rasterized it so I could easily copy/paste it, and tiled it. I zoomed in on the canvas so it'd be easier.

Then I got my screen caps of the movie, and resized them to 100px, and just pasted these over the circles.

Once I finished that, I merged the screen caps into one layer, and created a clipping mask. 

That's it :)
