::11 Shows Left:: As we count down, I’d like to thank & honor my incredible #AsYouLikeItOSF cast & crew by sharing our cherished tradition of celebrating each birthday at half-hour before places. Let’s start with our February babies, when we were still in the rehearsal room & about to start tech! FEB 7: @grant120– This was before we created our official birthday list. I luckily found out it was Grant’s bday that morning before rehearsal. Grant was totally surprised & still new to the company then as a trainee, you can see the magical moment when he first learned about @osfashland’s unofficial official “Here’s your birthday song” coda 😆 🙌 Just as adorable as Grant is in this video, he also is the most endearing William you will ever see—how could Aubrey ever reject him? But one of my favorite moments during the show is as I wait in the vom to go on next, I get to watch Grant's amazingly indignant reaction to Touchstone’s diss after they sing “Sweet Lovers.” 😆 FEB 23: @tyronewilsonashland @tyronewilsonactor — Tyrone is my birthday celebrations partner-in-crime. After Grant, we were determined to bring this birthday tradition to our show, which originally began from last season by our SM Jill Rendall for #HenryVOSF, the first #OSF #RosaJoshi production Tyrone & I worked on together. But since we were still organizing when Tyrone’s own birthday came up, both @mamamaisey & I independently got a cake for him which is why he had two. But really, doesn’t he deserve that & more anyway? Even as a 25-year OSF veteran, Tyrone cares about making the show feel like family, from painstakingly matching up everyone’s birthdays with our performance dates to bringing a whole stash of birthday supplies & decorations to being readily available to share his encyclopedic knowledge of the best hikes in Oregon. #OSF2019 #ArtisticHomeForLife #theatrefamily (at Oregon Shakespeare Festival) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3LRvhYpOIj/?igshid=f8fb4fl0ts6j

Our Queen of all, our heavenly Rosa-lind returned to Ashland this weekend & brought her Seattle U students to see #AsYouLikeItOSF! Remember my last post?— she is the visionary genius behind all of that. As long as she is at the helm of things, we should all have hope for the future of the American theatre & the world. #AsYouLikeItOSF kicked off #OSF2019 yesterday! I’m beyond excited & honored to play Rosalind, who is every actor’s dream role (female & even male, in some past productions). How also unbelievably lucky I am to be reunited with #RosaJoshi, my #HenryVOSF brilliant director from last season. The first time works by not one, but TWO living playwrights will be running all season— who both happen to be POC, one of whom is a woman— #LaurenYee and #OctavioSolis 🙌 And the first time one season will have THREE Asian American directors— #RosaJoshi, #ChayYew, & #EricTing 💁🏻‍♀️🙌😭 Could it be safe to say that’s actually a first in ANY major theatre season anywhere?
