‘Are you sure this is a good idea?’ asked Lexie, frowning around at the others. Kate could see that the teenager was still trying to come to terms with the little group, that she was a little out of her comfort zone despite how hard she was trying to hide it. But it was also obvious that she’d wanted to do this, wanted to be a part of it all no matter what.

‘Who doesn’t like a party?’ asked Rose, grabbing another few bottles of drink. She passed some off to Dani, who seemed to share her grin. There was something uncannily similar about the two of them that it almost made Kate’s head spin.

‘As long as there’s fries,’ said Colette, grabbing some of the alcohol and moving it back to the shelf, ‘I think it should be all right.’

‘And if not, party games are a must! They make everything better, right?’ Kate grinned around at the others, already she could feel her excitement mounting. They had to do this, had to do something to show that they cared. Even if everything changed when their guest of honour finally arrived.

‘You know, there are some pretty good clubs –’

‘Lexie’s too young!’

‘Right here you know,’ grumbled Lexie at the same time as Colette’s comment; she didn’t even look up from putting chips on the table.

Dani shrugged, as if she still didn’t really see the problem.

‘Can’t we just ask –?’ Kate’s comment was cut off by a knock on the door. She looked excitedly towards Colette, glad to see that there was happiness behind her expression as well, and the affection that she’d come to recognise in the woman.

They were going to make this a birthday to remember, she just hoped it was for all the right reasons.

For the falling in love ask: Luce, Becca, Abby, A.J. and Teddy - from, Foxesandmagic (sorry there's a lot of them in one go here, I don't know why I did that).

Luce: Kathy and Luce would be the most adventurous pair. Both girls seem to have a knack for getting into trouble but are still both quite sweet.

Becca: Lexie Prince. Lexie is such an opposite to Becca in many ways, but that’s what would make it work. Lexie would protect Becca with her life and Becca would make sure Lexie knew she could do the same. Plus, Lexie is secretly a nerd and Becca would definitely find herself bonding over her with all that.

Abby: Tess and Abby are the power couple we’ve all been waiting for. Their relationship would definitely be put to the test quite often, but I think it would be one of those epic ones for the ages.

AJ: Rose Parker would find a challenge with AJ Kane, but one she would adore. AJ would remind her of an ex-boyfriend, someone a bit hard around the edges, but would love her deeply. AJ would be put off at first with Rose’s blunt flirting but would warm up to her. It would definitely be quite the slowburn.

Teddy: I’m not sure if Kitten would agree but Kate Bastille could be an interesting choice for Teddy. At the very least, they would have one of those sweet puppy love relationships, even if it didn’t last forever.
