It was the last day of summer vacation and Rachel was spending it reading unhappily through some of her textbooks in the residence courtyard. The dormitory loomed overhead behind her but fortunately she had a nice view of campus from where she sat on the hill by the river. Sipping on her mocha frappucino that she had grabbed from the Starbucks by the gates, she contemplated the daunting symbolism of Dorian Gray before she heard someone call out her name.

Turning, she realized that Rose was walking up to her with a wave and Rachel waved back, a large smile gracing her lips. "Rose! Hey!"
