i've been playing Growing Up (2021 steam game) off and on for like 2 years now and one character that is soooo interesting to me is buddy from jake's route..he doesn't really like/is jealous of the mc (i think especially if you romance jake), and honestly i'm PRETTY SURE the implication here is that he is into jake in a romantic sense? thats always the vibe i get anyways. i also think that jake and the mc lowkey bully him. like ???? "hey babe, what's with the third wheel?" ?????? "don't be so buddy about it" ??? like this is a visual novel and obv we don't have context for a lot of stuff, but that friendship/group can be interpreted in some v interesting ways if one were to, say, write a one shot. perhaps.
