Have any inspirations for your artstyle? I absolutely ADORE it and thinks it's very cute!!

oh I didn’t see this! honestly I don’t think I have any main ones outside of like pokemon itself. I’m not fully sure where my different style conventions came from… I feel like my eye style was definitely inspired by something but I can’t remember at this point 🤔

to a level a large part of my style is kinda just simplicity - making them soft and blobby is just easy to draw and also cute lol

lmao this ask is from. ages ago but going through my drafts and I saw I started to answer this and then got stuck and then just left it to finish later and… never did. lol.

anyway incredibly funny I decided to go through my drafts rn since I did actually recently start thinking about pokemon au kh again.

my thoughts currently are:

sora: pikachu/Litleo

kairi: vulpix

riku: sneasel? maybe poochyena

ventus: plusle/morpeko

roxas: minun/pikachu

xion: zorua/mimikyu (appears as vulpix)

namine: alolan vulpix

vanitas: morpeko/litleo (maybe litten instead of litleo?)

axel/lea: typhlosion (maybe midday lycanroc hybrid?)

isa/saix: midnight lycanroc (maybe mightyena hybrid?)

aqua: vaporeon/brionne maybe? idk

terra: rhydon or excadrill? idk need to think more about him especially considering terranort

lots of fire types I know. also pikaclones because they are incredibly convenient when it comes to all these characters being associated with each other.

anyway here is a quick concept drawing of xion:

bottom left is her “true form”. though honestly the vulpix is more her actual true form at this point but y’know. when she takes the appearance of others she looks almost exactly like them but her markings are squiggly.

may doodle some others later… have a sketch of sora but idk if I’ll finish it.
