I really was looking forward to working on this one

Aquariumstuck AU Rosemary

Ever since they saw each other for the first time they got interested in getting to know one another.

Rose was often coming by as a visitor and they whould often walk past one another.

First time they actually talked was when Rose and her friends started working there.

Kanaya was showing them around and afterwards Rose thanked her and they had friendly chat.

It was mainly about how often Rose was seen in the aquarium but it was about other things too.

They worked in completely different sections of the aquarium and they did see one another often but they were really good friends.

Everytime they met during breaks and it just ended up with them having a LITTLE crush on one another.

They became much closer and Kanaya didn't wanted to keep that jellyfish-thing a secret. She felt guilty for hiding it but she was very anxious about it.

In the end she asked Rose to meet up after they ended shifts near an empty tank. Rose was curious what she wanted and she went where they were supposed to meet.

Their conversation was a bit odd and quite- Rose was getting suspicious. Kanaya took a deep breath and said that it's just better to show it instead of talking about it.

She jumped into the tank and Rose didn't stop her in time. Few seconds later she saw jellyfish-like mermaid thing? She wasn't sure what she was looking at but it definitely was Kanaya.

There was a bit of silence before Rose said "You look... Beautiful" as she placed her hand on her cheek.

Kanaya didn't know how to react and so did Rose since she was just so amazed and she leaned in and fell into the tank wich made Kanaya extremely worried but Rose just was back on surface before she did anything.

After seeing her face Rose started laughing and just said "I love you".

One of my pieces for the @rosemarriedalbum zine(+close ups)!! I wanted to challenge myself and make a more environmental piece with a focused palette and a bg and all, and I’m really happy with how it turned out! Although, how could I not smile at the lesbian vampire wedding?
