Rosemary hummed to him softly as she felt the young man wrap his arms around her. "I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. They are going to keep stitch you up, and in no time, you'll be fine," she whispered, placing a soft kiss on his forehead. Softly, the blonde took out the phone, pressing speed dial. Rosemary smiled softly, just as the phone began to ring, at the sight of the ambulance. "See, here they are."
Her voice and the melody she was humming reminded Merlin of his mother, singing him the same lullaby day after day as he was a child and he started sobbing for good. He held on to her as much as he could, her words like a balm on his wounds. He wasn't that scared anymore. And her kiss made him close his eyes. He didn't know why he trusted her and felt safe with her but he didn't care. At least if he died now, he'd die in the arms of someone he liked.
He felt her ruffle through his pocket and heard the sound of her calling Arthur. It wasn't sure what she could possibly say and what his reaction might be. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the ambulance and, knowing he was going to be saved, he let himself go completely, menacing to fall.
