On Saturday was World International Windows day and I was privileged to speak at the Rose of Sharon Foundation about the importance of securing the future of the women and kids even while their husbands are alive. We live in a society where tradition and cultures affects basically everything we do. Some of these practices does no good to man. The woman even though a widow still has the right to be protected, because she isn't less a human. But more importantly is securing their wellbeing early enough to protect them from unnecessary pain they will go through in the hands of unreasonable in-laws and family members. I also suggest a grassroot sensitization of our men, making them understand the importance of having their kids future and that of their wife secured on paper in the form of a will. I believe that every family should be educated about the importance of having a lawyer. They are not just meant for going to court. Husbands get a lawyer, secure the future of your kids and wife early enough. Our widows are still humans. A big thank you to Mrs Folorunsho Alakija for the great works she is doing. (Don't mind my look that day, I just crawled out of the sick bed. ) #human #humanrights #unitednations #internationalwidowsday #roseofsharonfoundation #alakijafolorunsho🇳🇬✅ https://www.instagram.com/p/BzHM9sSF3VB/?igshid=1ow4l61bkanyl
