Michael fell onto his chair with a huff, looking exhausted. He had been dashing between the main office and the Achievement Hunter building for hours now, trying to balance out his million activities. Someone had messed up and scheduled back to back recordings so immediately after an episode of Off Topic, Michael was hauling ass across the building for a special Lazer Team Quick Draw. It wasn’t bad, there were some creative questions but being crammed into the little office space with Gavin, Colton, and Alan required an interesting amount of contorting. Michael had some yoga history but he hadn’t practiced in years, leaving his body slightly stiff to the more difficult bends.
It also didn’t help that Alan was built like a fucking tank.
Now was a perfect break for him, a sweet lull between activities. Geoff had scheduled some gaming but there was time before any of that went down. A blessed forty five minutes of nothingness. Michael felt bad, he should be doing something but he reasoned that with all the running he’d done, he deserved a nap.
The redhead stood and pushed his chair away with the back of his knees. It was only then he noticed Ryan sitting at his computer, his stress evident in the way the bridge of his nose was pinched and the deep furrow of his brows. The thin wiry glasses had made a comeback and for some reason he was wearing a Mad King spirit hood a fan had sent in.
Michael rounded the long table, traversing from his side of the room to the Gents’s. He stepped over to Ryan before gently removing his headphones and glanced at the glaringly ugly format of Adobe Premiere.
“Why’re you editing GTA? I thought none of us did that anymore,” he mumbled before glancing down at his friend. “And when’s the last time you slept? There’s more baggage in your eyes than my fucking emotions.”
If there’s anything Lindsay learned while sharing a desk with Ryan, it was how to handle him. There was nothing he could say or do that would make her freak out or even cause the slightest of surprise. It was just damn near impossible.Though not everyone knew Ryan like she did, so whenever he freaked somebody out she was quick to go get it straighten out. He wasn’t a bad guy, well not always.
Lindsay walked into the achievement hunter office and made a beeline straight to Ryan’s desk. “Ryan, if you want to make friends you need to stop scaring them away.” She said when had gotten to his desk, leaning up against it. Her tone was serious but her lips were tugged up in a smile.
