It was almost predatory, the way the brunette had stalked the female student, a rather blank expression on his face. Every now and then, he’d hide from her sight behind a large tree, making sure he remained hidden from her view. Truthfully, Patrick believed there was no real reason to follow her, but unfortunately he was captivated with boredom and she was the lucky target who had past him in town. 

However in the midst of stalking Rose, a thought began to formulate.

The brunette wanted to make a point to her after hearing that the she had said something to Butch, which resulted in Henry being grounded for a week. Patrick found it to be important because it had affected his day to day heavily, and in his eyes, she should pay for that...no matter what ‘that’ meant.

It wasn’t until the female had gone off trail near the quarry that the lanky male had spoken. 

“Dontcha know it isn’t safe to travel alone in the woods? Haven’t you heard about how kids keep going missing?” He mocks her first, then attempts to instill a fear in her, that maybe...just maybe he was the one to blame for the disappearances.

Richie ducks his head, doing his best to go unnoticed as he slinks through the kitchen and towards the front door. Wentworth is in one of his moods and the hint of a wrong move could set him off. The big, fat F on his report card -- in deportment, which shouldn’t matter anyway -- has managed to remain hidden, but if either of his parents ask for his grades, Richie won’t be able to lie. (At least, not convincingly, seeing as the grades are written in permanent marker.) It’s better to stay under the radar for a little while.

“What are you doing?” Jacob sits up in that bed of his to the sight of the girl flipping through books. The answer then should be fairly obvious then, but he wants to know what she’ll say in response to him. How unfortunate for him that he’ll have to put up with her until everything is over-- and Joseph never gave a clear timeline on that either.

The uncertainty if his brother was alive is what often hit hardest so he tends not to dwell on such thoughts. “--You have anything good in that pile of books of yours?”

"hey, you seen rich anywhere?” he had run into the older tozier by chance while he was biking around town. it seemed like everyone had suddenly decided to hide and had forgotten to tell him: none of his friends were home. he hoped that lizzie could maybe help him.

         “ it’s umm . . . . ” words are hard to find. he doesn’t really know HOW to say it, nor does he know the right words to form. his mouth feels N U M B and his tongue becomes tied. words are failing him. his illness is failing him. because he can’t speak, he takes his sketchbook in his hands, fingers flipping through with shaky fingers until he lands on one of the last pages. finally, he takes the pencil in his hand and writes: sorry, it’s hard to talk. . . and 2 write. the point is emphasized by the sliding of fingers across the page, pencil slipping from his grasp.
