Have people been mean to you because you're a rotation worker? Does it pay well?
It does pay well, especially if you’re willing to do things that other rotation workers don’t even want to do. Whether the pay is worth what you have to do to get it is up to individual interpretation.
There are people who will be an ass to rotation workers although I’ve given people more reasons to hate me than most. That’s not as much of an issue if you live in the city, but people tend to know who everyone is and what they do in smaller communities.
But you tend to get pretty close to some of your coworkers, too. Kind of like how greys tend to feel a bond with the people they fought beside in war. Not that war and rotations are really the same thing, but especially with sewer-work you need to know that the person next to you has your back.
It’s a balance.
