Can a planet have varied rotational speeds? I've heard of varied orbital speeds due to the pull of nearby objects but cant seem to find anything about rotation I seem to only be finding stuff about the varying rotational speeds between different planets. zz
Tex: I think you would benefit from finding out why rotational speed is a thing, because that would give you the answers you’re seeking as to why it’s generally a stable value within a single celestial body. It’s a bit of legwork on your end, but the recommended readings I have are some very foundational work to understanding astrophysics and its related tangents.
