What Is Rotomolding Machine

The rotomolding machine is a tool used in the production of plastic products. The process of plastic molding involves the application of plastic material and blowing agent. The plastic material is injected into the mold holder with the help of an injector. The mold carrier carriages are equipped with air fans to cool the plastic material. The mold release station consists of a control station, a mold holder, and the mold. During the process, the operator opens and closes the mold. Then, the operator positions the plastic, metallic, or composite material inserts.

The material feed bowl and schematic section of the rotomolding machine are also shown. They are designed to load material into the mold during the primary rotation and charge it with two materials for multi-layer products. The machine also has an option to load the mold with a micronized plastic material. Typically, this machine can process up to four to eight parts at a time. The process can be fully automated.

The electric shoes that feed the rotomolding machine are installed on the right foot of the machine. The motor is attached to a gear that drives an adhesive pneumatic tire. The rest of the machine consists of the transformer station, the material injector, the polyurethane blowing agent injector, and the release station. The components of the machine are connected to one another through a rack. To change the mold, the operator moves it from one station to another.
