rotten robots
Remember the rotten robots from Scoob? I had a really fun conversation with @massivemilkshaketale about ideas for a tv show spinoff starring them.
I suggested the (very lame) name of Baby ‘Bots (it was late, sorry). He had the much better idea of Rotten Takeover. The show would take place after the robots’ redemption arc, with the robots setting out on their own, for their own adventures.
I love the hilarious tagline he came up with: Think cute. Think adorable Think again!
We were brainstorming plot ideas and I suggested the first episode would be them finding a place to live and figuring out what they were going to do. He suggested they would live in a junkyard or abandoned warehouse, which is cool. They could build stuff there. Basically, the show would be about them interacting with humans. A slice of life kinda thing.
I also suggested giving them a human adult friend, because, yeah. They need adult supervision. Could be anyone, a cop, a reporter, a doctor. Go wild.
He had some good ideas for characters. Maybe two of them, with one bent on destruction and the other his less intelligent assistant. If there’s a group of them, maybe one of is a feral robot stuck in scorpion form that the others befriend. Poor little guy. That has potential for both comedy and drama.
I love the concept, because there is so much that could be done with this, to keep the series fresh. Like, they could be in school one day and fighting aliens the next. So many angles. :D
