★ Codex Rotundus - 1480
The Test
Spell after spell either glanced off the armor or was minimized to the point that damage was a non issue. Alex allowed himself a grin of contentment as he continued to press towards the enemy line. He crashed into the front ranks, cutting down two spellblades with a wide sweep of Helfrost. A blast of arcane energy took him in the chest as an enemy warpcaster prepared another spell to throw at the knight. He raised Helfrost, pointing at the mage as two runes went dun. The mage screamed in terror as he began to freeze solid, releasing the spell and causing it to backfire, blowing much of the shal'dorei's torso away in a mixture of gore and purple mist. All that remained were frozen stumps of legs when the mist cleared. The rest of Alex's strike force crashed into the lines of the loyalists, finally catching up. Battle was the truest test for armor, and so far Alex had been relishing in Desdinova's gift to him. He moved faster, he could continue to advance even when spells were being thrown, and it felt right on him. A blast caught him in the head, bringing him back to the battle at hand. Another mage attempting to fell Alex. He gestured to Rotundus, the hippo calf had taken its time to join the fray. The hippo grunted, then in a surprising burst of speed, launched itself towards the mage. The shal'dorei's eyes went wide with confusion as the hippo impacted her shin making her stumble. Before she could recover, Alex was there running her through. She gasped as the shadowfrost cut through her arcane armor like paper, and then fell limp. Alex pulled Helfrost free, looking down at the hippo and nodding. He'd never admit it to Melyssine or Ygrava, but he was becoming useful. He looked around the wide street filled with fallen. The insurrectionists had nearly taken the lane, though a number of their own were among the dead. Alex estimated twenty or more, either dead or dying. He was going to be very busy tonight.

Rotoundus: Robot Controlled Camera Ball
In what situation would you really need this? Who cares, it's a ball with cameras in it. Need I say more?
Mostly for security and such, this guy floats on water too.
The no-hassle robot
Mobile surveillance robots are supposed to cut costs. But if they keep getting into trouble and need help, they can prove to be expensive. GroundBot is unlike any other mobile robot on the market – it was originally designed to explore other planets. In other words, the nearest helping hand would have been millions of miles away. So, we had one overriding aim: to develop a robot that would be extremely reliable.
On-road, off-road and over-water
GroundBot moves through mud, sand and snow without getting stuck. Here’s how:
Keeping it light GroundBot is surprisingly light. Conventional surveillance robots, tipping the scales at over 200 kg, have a tendency to get bogged down in soft, unresisting surfaces. GroundBot weighs just 25 kg and can roll across all kinds of surfaces with ease.
Taking everything in its stride The other reason why GroundBot can handle all kinds of terrain is its sheer size. Most robots are scaled down versions of the real thing. GroundBot, with its 60 cm diameter, is slightly larger than a standard automobile tire. This means it just rolls over uneven surfaces taking them in its stride. And because GroundBot is sealed and has such a low density it can even float!

The Rotundus Groundbot (awesome name, right?) is a remote controlled camera ball!
It silently rolls around capturing a 360 view with 2 cameras inside. While it seems like a fun toy, it's actually meant to help with security at airports and other tight security spots.
