Palais des Glaces, 37 rue du Faubourg du Temple (half a block from the beginning of the ground-level Canal Saint-Martin).

It presented mostly music when it first opened in 1876, and returned to that vocation in 1970 after serving as a cinema since 1924.  It started staging comedies in the 1980s, along with stand-up. It still does that, but this year it has become the new home for la compagnie Colette Roumanoff, which produces theatre for children and families, including classics such as Molière and Beaumarchais. It has two stages, one of 482 seats and le Petit Palais des Glaces with about 100.

Théâtre Fontaine, 10 rue Pierre-Fontaine

In 1951, the theatre was converted from a cabaret, whose previous owners had abandoned it following the Libération. Since 1999, the theatre may have been best known for its resident group, la compagnie Colette Roumanoff, which produces theatre for children and families, including classics such as Molière and Beaumarchais. In 2018, the Roumanoff group moved to Palais des Glaces and Théâtre Fontaine has been presenting contemporary comedies.
