today i saw creatures!!!!! right when i first looked in the water there were four round rays all swimming together, but they split up before i could get a picture of them.
and then there was a Big Fishy!!! i haven't identified it yet but it kind of flapped its pectoral fins as it swam
and another ray or two :)
Image 1 : Cownose Ray - Rhinoptera bonasus
Fun Fact : While feeding at the bottom of the ocean, cownose rays create micro-habitats for tiny invertebrates!(≧∀≦)
Image 2 : Round Ray - Urobatis halleri
Fun Fact : To camouflage, Round Rays bury themselves in mud / sand with only their eyes poking & spiracles (breathing holes under the eyes) poking out. How adorable !(^。^)
Image 3 : Spotted Eagle Ray - Aetobatus narinari
Fun Fact : Spotted Eagle Rays can jump about six feet above the ocean's surface ! They also each have their own spot pattern, like a fingerprint!(*'▽'*)

Took a #lowtide walk after a storm and didn’t see as much as I hoped... then I spotted this!!! Baby #roundray in the #tidepools . Body is about the size of a tennis ball. Be sure to watch to the end!
More fishes!! The Koi and “???” (a delightful cryptid) were both sponsored by @void-home -- thank you again!!
oh my godddd all the patrons woke up and chose violence today (unreasonable and inappropriate behavior) BUT then i got to pet one of my favorite dogs who i haven't seen in almost two years AND THEN i saw a bunch of stingrays!
(here's two of them) (you can glimpse stingray #2 heading out of frame to the right twice-- once toward the beginning and once a little later)
i parked so far away from my work today, but at least i saw creatures! or, as i said when i bid farewell to clerk t,
car trek iv: the voyage home (aka the one with the round rays)
i almost forgot! it's finally light enough after work to look for creatures, and friday the tide was super low, and we saw four round rays rooting around in the silt for their dinner! here are two of them trying to dig in the same spot.
