So what happens in the coldflash Mr. July AU when Len finds out Barry is not only Mr. July but the flash? Please tell me there is a bad pu. Of some kind involved.
I don’t know if you ever saw @swingsetindecember‘s hilarious continuations (they’re great, go read them) of the Mr. July calendar AU.
But oh man, I don’t think anyone’s yet considered what happens when Len makes that connection. Is it still by kidnapping Cisco? Or does something else befall our hero to give his identity over to Captain Cold??
I’m liking the second, since verses like these are best without too much angst ;)
I definitely think Cold schemes for it though. Maybe Lisa still seduces Cisco away from the team in some way and Len and the Rogues get him tied up and then execute a heist, and Len is the one who sticks around to guard Cisco knowing the Flash is going to come save him. And Len is still nefarious so he’s got his cold gun pointed to Cisco’s chest and he gives Barry an ultimatum: his identity or his friend’s life.
Except he really doesn’t expect the Flash to go as red as his suit as soon as he gives that ultimatum? Or for the guy he has tied to a chair to groan and drop his head back to stare at the ceiling like he’d rather be anywhere else. He’s being nefarious here? And threatening? Is it too much for Team Flash to at least be a little intimidated?
And the Flash is hedging like “how about I give you my social security number instead?” and Len is like “??????? What is wrong with you?”
“Can we just - I’ll owe you a favour or something?”
“Come on Flash - the Rogues will be back soon. Your identity or his life.”
“Are you seriously gonna kill Cisco?”
“Dude?! Rude? I’m right here. Gun at my head. C’mon man. Your pride can suffer this.”
And Barry sighs and... oh.
That is just... perfect. Len’s face splits into a completely delighted grin. Surprised, horrified, but delighted. “No wonder I didn’t recognize you. I’ve only seen you laying back in a speedo.”
Barry puts his face in his hands and regrets everything about the last (two!) photo shoot(s).
