Today, something reminded me of an evening in Hampi. It was about sunset and @suhaschatkara and I had had one of our BIG fights - You know the kind that leaves you wondering if this is the right person? If this is worth it? What did you do wrong? . . I stomped into a Pushkarni (It means a royal bath/stepwell) and sat there. The ancient stone pond in front of me had collected some rain water and was green from all the algae beneath it. The shrine like structure in the centre of the pond, danced around in reflections there, distracting me, making me smile a bit. The sun was going down and Suhas was no where to be seen. By now we had learnt to give each other physical space even though mentally, we both were (are) quite entangled. I sat there, tears rolling down my face. I was frustrated and I was certain it was "his" fault. I looked at the shrine in front of me - empty and old. As straight the structure was, it seemed quite tilted in the reflection. I saw my own reflection now, face all puffed up and perhaps a little lopsided from all that crying. It is strange how random things can make you go back on thoughts you had just moments ago. As the sun set, I found myself tracing my steps back to Suhas. Like I said, mentally, we are very much entangled. So I didn't have to walk a lot - he was right there, standing behind these pillars. Waiting for me to finish crying. Giving me space. . . This lockdown has been the longest space we have given each other. I hope the sun sets soon and we find each other again :) . . #coupletravel #routedindia #hampi #hampidiaries #sunset #sunset_pics #historic #history #travelgram #instagram #traveltheworld #travel_drops #travelholic #indiagram https://www.instagram.com/p/B_kYiT3D7FL/?igshid=1qox7xvgt2jeo
