@kingarryn
it hadn’t taken long for the tyrell of highgarden to find himself in the allocated arryn wing of dragonstone; done soon after signing the final document to cement the reach alliance with the kingdom of dorne. though others may have considered that enough of a feat for the day, cedric tyrell knew there was one more person he ought to seek out before the sun set beneath the stormy waves that crashed beneath them all. to merely open the floor to talks would be an accomplishment for the day, contrasting greatly with the vale’s traditional outlook of being able to fend for themselves. it were entirely possible for the man to first seek out the king’s red headed sister, and softly plant ideas of treaty ideas in her head; ideas that he was sure would somehow find their way back to rowan arryn eventually. however, cedric tyrell knew intently in his gut such a method would only backfire on him, as for as long as he could remember, rowan arryn was a man that preferred to deal with matters directly.
and so the talks had been lengthy, though not directly because of length in itself, but rather the amounts of times the subject seemed to stray from the matter at hand. the years that had passed had long created a fond, however notable distance between houses tyrell and arryn, often spending summers together in kings landing prior to the destruction that came with the targaryen war. naturally that in itself, was a separate matter entirely - cedric’s blue eyes settled on the battle hardened features of the mountain king; who had fought to preserve the bloodline of the targaryen dynasty.
“take as much time as you need to dwell on the idea and consult those closest to you. if we are to go on this venture, we can work out the smaller details whenever is best. but know there is always space for the vale on our table.”
