Dragon Age Fucked Up Ships Week Day One: Divorce | Manipulation

Ever since the loss of her father, Rowan had clung to Katriel tighter. She fought harder in the day, but broke down in her tent at night.

The only thing that would calm her was a story from her beloved. Every night, Katriel told her the story of the Chevalier, Aveline. Every night, Katriel would call Rowan her Aveline, carding her fingers through her wild hair.

And every night, Katriel wondered when the truth would come to light, and she would wake with her knight’s blade to her throat. One day soon, she hoped. Until then, she would tell her stories.

Finally got around to spreading my Katriel/Rowan agenda…. I love these ladies so so much. I have a whole AU where Katriel goes after Rowan instead of Maric, targeting her isolation as a woman who doesn’t fit into the role expected of her. She feels guilty. Rowan becomes incredibly dependent on her. It’s all very unhealthy. We love it.
