One of my 2 rats died about a month ago and I just moved the other back to the big cage- my one worry is how lonely she looks and I wanted your thoughts on getting another one to keep her company (cont-)
(Pt.2) my other worry though is that she's a rescue and I don't know how old she is/how long she has left. So I guess my questions are 1: should I get a friend for her and 2: if I do, should I get 1 or 2?
I find 3 is always the optimum number of rats to keep at any given time, because if one of them unfortunately passes, the remaining two still have each other as company. So if it was me, I would get two.
