he knew it wasn’t wise to go against pokemon who were a lot stronger than him, but when his pokemon were in danger he’d always step in, including with meowth, one of the longest pokemon partner he and jessie had.
without second thought he smacked the large pokemon away from attacking the cat pokemon before he was hurt again, huffing and panting heavily, frowning as he looked at his ripped uniform, a casualty from the claw attack the pokemon almost didn’t miss.
