“I need you here always.”
“Don’t be silly. I’m the last person anybody needs anywhere. Especially you.” roxy-tyler
"You're not alone, you know."
She sat on the edge of the rock, overlooking the beautiful sands and the frightfully cold-looking blue sea. Tears fell from her pale face, dripping off one by one. Her eyes stared into space, never looking at Roxy. It was strange, their friendship. They weren’t similar, yet they complimented each other. They always knew when something was wrong with the other, even though they weren’t as close as they were to other people. In some ways it was the perfect friendship.
"You're not alone, you know."
The words Roxy spoke ripped into her. It had never been said out-loud that she felt so alone in life. But the words wrenched their way in, making what she was feeling sound far more real. Sometimes people would arrived and make her feel at home again. Her friends always made her a better person, especially those she never expected to be so close to. But they dropped off. They went, they died, they found other people.
Finally her eyes slowly slid to look in Roxy’s direction. Few words felt able to leave her mouth, but her hand gripped the blonde’s tightly and squeezed it thankfully. “Cheers,” Lise whispered, brushing the tears from underneath her eyes. “...I believe you now.”
