Earlier in the summer, the bad weather forced us to move a garden show we'd organised. We found the Total Refreshment Centre in Dalston. An excellent time was had. To celebrate the release of our record, we decided to do it again, but properly this time and we asked some friends and heroes along. Get this... It's £5 and if you're 18 and so inclined, you can bring your own beer. In the same way U2 put the nail in the coffin of the LP, we're devaluing the live show. Joining us are the soon to be interstellar NOVELLA, Brighton's greatest tripped out weirdos ROYAL LIMP and one of the finest English songwriters' alive... Nick Ainsworth and his seminal Mancunian heroes FORMER BULLIES. If those three aren't enough the marvellous WARMHAMMER will be joining us and we're hoping to add another couple of acts to the bill before the day.

NEW ADDITIONS - Psyched to add GRIMM GRIMM and NATURE to the bill. GRIMM GRIMM released one of this year's best sevens on Kevin Shields' Pickpocket Records. Not to be missed. We don't know too much about NATURE but the tracks we have heard are cool as hell.
Virginia Wing's Extended Play is out today! You can order it direct from Faux Discx HERE. It'll be in shops from September 23...
Thanks to everybody who came to the launch show last night at The Albert, it was awesome. Virginia Wing, Occult Hand and Royal Limp were all on incredible form. The visuals by Innerstrings Psychedelic Lightshow was the icing on the cake.
Royal Limp
Royal Limp | New Ennui Despite endearingly labeling themselves as ‘Pansy Punk’ on their Facebook page, it’s clear that Royal Limp have a bit more to them than that. The disaffected Brightoners display an array of dreamy sounds, from sad bossa nova to dirgy psychedelia and pleasantly apathetic vocals. The band are playing Dalston's Birthdays next month with pop punk favourites, Mazes. Perhaps more interesting is their show at The Sebright Arms where they join part of a new venture by Observatory Crest- one half of indie label Sex is Disgusting to raise money for the charity, diyspaceforlondon. Bless 'em. See them there with Primitive Parts, Shopping and Omi Palone this Friday. Emma
Royal Limp
Brighton has some real nice people hanging out within its coastal shell right now, and Royal Limp is just one of the names that its inhabitants make music under. These guys even have the ever-prolific KEEL HER jamming on the keys (did you know she also turned out to be Spaace Girl? Neither did I), and the end result on 'Planet Us' is another remarkably otherworldly odyssey of murmuring drones and lethargic vocals. I imagine it to be what Felix Baumgartner would've listened to if he was actually Jeffrey Lewis and did the jump just to make the greatest VHS found-footage video the world has ever seen. It even reminds me of his song with The Junkyard 'Roll Bus Roll' in the way that it, well, rolls and rolls. Rest assured you'll be able to nod off to this one wherever you are, anytime, and pretty peacefully as well - there's that sleepy, autumnal feeling that Real Estate induce within you seeping through here. Far out, man.
