On to the 1991 Royal Rumble. This Rumble was notable for the Royal Rumble debuts of the Undertaker, the Legion of Doom, The Texas Tornado Kerry Von Erich, Crush and the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith. While these new faces to the Rumble made it exciting, the match itself didnt live up to the one the year before in terms of main event talent. Saba Simba? Really? Ugh. Horrible gimmick for Tony Atlas. I forgot that Shane Douglas was in this match. And it's amazing how over the Bushwhackers and Hacksaw Jim Duggan were with the fans. It was interesting to see how Bret Hart was slowly being built up a singles wrestler that would become the main face of the company throughout the 1990's. Rick Martel set a new record for being in the Rumble for roughly 52 minutes, beating Ted DiBiasie's record from the year before of 44 minutes. And a young Shane McMahon was a ref outside the ring??? The Earthquake vs Hulk Hogan fued just kept on rolling. And speaking of Hogan, he would become the first multiple time winner of the Royal Rumble. Good times indeed. #WWF #WorldWrestingFederation #RoyalRumble91 #RoyalRumble1991 #RoyalRumble #Wrestling #ProWrestling #TheNineties #1990s #SiscosFavoriteComics https://www.instagram.com/p/B7PkcBkheH3/?igshid=1lqkwmobwq4oe
