Job Acquired

I just walked into the Daily Bugle to ask for an interview and JJJ monologued me into being hired, talking about hardworking employees being the backbone of truth or something which is awesome.

I am now officially Reporter Verit focusing on the anthropology of superhumans and events surrounding them.

It doesn't seem I'll be given assignments (paid commission) often so I'll probably just interview whomever I want unless something big happens but it's New York what are the chances of that?

Additionally, if anyone has a quote to give from the perspective of a citizen, hero, villain, or anything in-between go ahead and send me an "ask" (pretty sure that's what it's called).

Hello! I don't really use social media so I'm not sure how well structured this will be in comparison to how it should be. Kinda just looking at other people's as templates. Sorry if my posts look like emails or rambling.

My name is Ben Verit, He/Him, no I'm not named after the F4 member. I moved to NYC earlier this year since I'm going to ESU for journalism. I've always liked "getting info out of people" but I promise it's better than it sounds. I just like getting to the bottom of things at the end of the day but I don't have what it takes to be a detective.

I think being in the city for a little bit now has mellowed out the initial "vigilante craze" I was feeling which is probably a good thing.

Since living on campus and my tuition has been free due to Emperor Doom (as of writing) I haven't had to worry too much about a job but as that seems to be changing, if anyone knows a good place to work I'd be glad (not sure this is the right post for that but whatever). [OOC] Yo, I'm the owner of this account and I am named Ben (I am just that bad at making names), He/Him.

I don't really use tumblr so it is entirely possible I just forget to post or anything for months at a time.

I am vaguely basing things on current 616 canon (hence all the Doom stuff) but obviously the character existing is fanfiction and therefore everything else is as well. Which is good cause it means interactions aren't paradoxical or anything.

Speaking of which, I don't really cares who interacts as I'm just doing this for fun.

Anything out of character will be explicitly done (like the second half of this post!)

i have questions HOW come no photographers stalk him anymore. fr he used to have photographers up his ASS and now they never follow him anywhere. it's like he's not cool anymore. youre the first fan ive run into in a while

To my knowledge from the research I've done on him, it seems that the only photographer who could ever get good photos of him was a Daily Bugle guy named Peter Parker.

Personally, I think he just paid off Spider-Man since the guy doesn't have a mercenary income like you do.

I don't really get the point of comic books

Like why would I read a Batman comic when superheroes already exist? I didn't even grow up in NYC like a lot of people but I don't care about some fictional story about a, frankly derivative, superhero. Corporate cash grabs I swear Like I know there's some copyright issues with a lot of heroes and villains and whatnot but there's gotta be other sides of the "super" industry.
