~A bright pink glittery present pops into existence in a soft puff of pink smoke beside Web. The thin pink box hovers for a second until finally falling into Web’s hands, like it was meant to be there, like it wanted desperately to be there.~
~Once the present was opened, if opened via the rosy ribbon holding the box closed, the receiver would happen upon an ebony black locket. Upon its locket face were words carved into the sleek metal in the same sparkly pink that was the very same as the box it came in.-
~“To my dear brother Web,
It startles him that a bright pink clad box just pops into existence and lands right into his hands but now he just stares at it, his head tilting to one side as his hands lift to examine it further. He examines the pink box and the bright pink bow and gently touches it then suddenly pulls to open it.
For some reason that he couldn’t really explain, he felt like his body was running on autopilot, making him open the box like he had no control of what his hands were doing at all, yet at the moment, he saw nothing wrong with it at all. A slip of the ribbon and it is finally off and now he removes the lid holding the little box closed, and now he sees what is inside.
A soft smile forms on his face as he reads the bright pink words etched into the rich black metal, and now he places his long metal fingers onto the words written on the locket’s face and suddenly the locket vibrates then suddenly floats out of the box and hovers in the air a moment. Web’s smile drops and he stares at it in alarm until the clasps holding the tough chain together open and then the locket flies at him, wrapping itself around his neck forcefully the locket slapping against his chest hard and staying in place as a sudden pressure builds inside his chest making whatever was inside hurt and his body remain still. He gasps at the pain, until something seems to slither up and caress his face and he freezes once he hears a voice bouncing inside his head.
Web’s face scrunches as his violent eyes move to stare at none other than a small black tendril caressing his face. His eyes stay on it and a tight pressure inside his chest makes him hiss painfully as the voice continues. He’s forced to listen.
~Let me cut to the chase. Hello! You may call me, Desire! Unless you willingly choose a name for me. I am quite pleased to be acquainted with such a strapping gentleman such as yourself…With your broad shoulders and beautiful eyes. Such a wonderful body, a perfect host.~
His face shows confusion but the voice continues like it knows what he is going to ask, the tiny tendril now wrapping around his neck as the tip of it runs itself yet again against his mask. Web can’t move and his face shows his confusion and slight fear at it. But to his disappointment it continues.
~Yes I did just say host. That is what you are and you have willingly chosen little old me! I am very flattered! As you have just realized, no. Your dear little brother Art did not send me, I did. I am a magical being, but unlike my otherworldly siblings who talk about strings and such, my power is….mmm Parasitic. I feed off of one’s love, desire and other such emotions that seems to pop up in that beautiful face of yours, though, just like my siblings, you will be able to see the Strings, like this one.~
As it says this, another small tendril flutters out of Web’s chest then his eyes move to it just as it begins tug on a bright golden string going right into where his heart would be. That small little tug makes him gasp painfully and wince at it as it holds the golden string tightly to keep him in place, it continues.
~And just like my siblings, these Strings could be seen by only hosts like you, just like my tendrils. If we happen upon these siblings of mine, their hosts, they will definitely see your Strings and my tendrils. What are they you ask? My tendrils? Well I’ll show you.~
Just as it says this, it lets go of the bright golden string attached to him and suddenly he is forced painfully to the floor. Web screams out as the pressure in his chest tightens immensely and he desperately tries to move to no avail. Web hisses as he gives the tendril still caressing his cheek a slight glare as it further explains itself.
~My tendrils can force you to do anything my heart desires. I can make you stand, or sit and anything else I deem fit. I can control that perfect body of yours with ease. So. As long as you obey like the good boy you are, and as long as my locket remains on your exquisite chest, you and I will be the best of friends. Hehe! I can’t wait to play with you! I can’t wait to see all the mischief you and I will experience together. Now then. Be a good obedient boy and you will be just fine, ok cutie? Bye bye!~
And just like that, the pressure releases completely, and now he is no longer forced to the floor but he stays there, beginning to tremble as he tries to process what just happened. He looked terrified, disgusted and extremely uncomfortable as the tendrils leave his sight, the golden String leaving with them to give his mind the ample time to process it all and now Web just stays laying on the floor. His arms wrap around himself in a hug and suddenly he starts crying. For the first time he is deeply afraid of this. He didn’t want this one bit! Why did he have to open that damned box?!
