i'm leaning into the fucked up scribble items look because of how little i want to fuck with pixel art
which sprite style do you like more?
A (hand-drawn with big eyes)
B (original 2x pixel)
style A comes with the benefit of being easier to animate and looking distinct from the pixel surroundings (reality vs dream). the cons are having to resprite all 4 characters and whatever unique sprites exist.
style B comes with the benefit of already having been created and meshing better with the pixel surroundings (no style whiplash). the cons are that i'm starting to hate pixel art +
the "you used ai so that means you didn't put the effort in :/" argument gets more comedic the more time i spend meticulously putting together a 5600x4000 canvas of all of my favorite assets from the generations i've done to have easy access to them
it's happening folks
playing around with generating assets since i'm considering parallax mapping, which is more like using stamps than tilesets! look at all this fucked up clutter
claude tileset maker is a banger success jsyk
have decided on how i want to do battle backgrounds in [unnamed rpgmaker game] and am quite pleased with it
