Update on the forum woes

Well, Uh, yikes! As it turns out, the web hosting servers hosting the rpgmakerweb forums are under a DDOS attack right now! The attack is probably not aimed at RPG Maker (why would it be?) but it affects every forum being hosted. What an interesting start to the new year, I guess? Until things get resolved, utilize this opportunity to make new friends on tumblr, Steam, Twitter, and maybe with your neighbors! A batch of cookies goes a long way.

RPG Maker...not MV sale!

Almost everything to do with RPG Maker (aside from MV, which is 10-15% off right now) is 80% off on Steam right now until January 4th! 

That means VX Ace, XP, 2003, 2000*, and all of the DLC are 80% off! Which makes VX Ace a whole $14, and all of its DLC a buck or so each! Woah! You could save nearly $1000!

Open multiple instances of RPG Maker in Steam - yes, you can!

Contrary to popular belief, you can actually have multiple windows of RPG Maker running at the same time through Steam. This is very useful for copying maps and other data between multiple project files. You can have two, three, four, maybe even different 50 RPG Maker windows (and different projects) open at the same time! 

Really easy. 

Locate your primary Steam folder. This usually in the ProgramFiles folder, or something similarly named. 

Go to the “steamapps” folder.

Then, “common” folder! 

Find the RPG Maker you are looking for, and then open up its .exe file! 

MV: RPGMV.exe

Vx ACE: RPGVXAce.exe

XP: RPGXP.exe

2003: rpg2003.exe

NOTE: This may not work with RPG Maker XP. 

Alternatively, you can just search your computer for the listed .exe files!
