Going over some of my thoughts about Non Player Characters. Think of them as extras and supporting characters in a movie or TV show. Good times ahead.

I’m not going to make any bold claims. This is just part of my process. There are literally dozens of Game Master guides and how-to books on the subject. Non Player Characters: Everyone's Best Friends.

A lot of tips and tricks dealing with NPCs. I've always loved NPC design and it's such a crucial part of any good campaign.

One of my favorite keys to a good adventure for many, many years has been memorable Non Player Characters that stick with the party. Some of my favorite NPCs were introduced sometime around the first few sessions. I try to make them endearing enough (or healers) that the group will want them to stick around. Some rely on cuteness.
