Hi, before anything I want you to know I LOVE the Rivals series with all my heart. It'll always be my favorite fanfic in the Yoi universe. Also I hope you're doing well in your finals (and if you've already finished them, you're happy, or at least okay, with the results). So! Here's my question, are we gonna get some new content of it soon? I miss Viktor and Yuuri so much 😭

I hope so! I’ve had a really bad case of writer’s block since Christmas unfortunately, which is why I haven’t written anything Rivals related for ages. I have a bunch of other YOI fic projects I’ve been trying to work on too, but I just haven’t been able to produce anything I’m happy with. Recently though, I’ve managed to have a couple of small breakthroughs in planning/writing some of my other YOI fics, so hopefully some Rivals stuff will follow soon! I’m planning on writing and posting the first chapter of a new fic first and then I’m going to try and get a new chapter of R-PP&F out as soon as I can.

Hi Kazliin, first of all, I wanna say that I'm really excited for this new au you're writing! But I have a question about rivals, will you continue writing it?

Yes, I do have some more chapters of ‘R-PP&F’ planned that I’m going to write at the same time as NGCC, so you will be seeing more of the Rivals universe. However, I will be focusing most of my energy on my new project because, while I’m still very fond of Rivals, the main story is already complete and ‘R-PP&F’ is just fun extras. Whereas NGCC is a new story that I have much more inspiration for.

No question, but I just wanted to let you know that I just watched YOI last month and my friend recommended UMFBMHA to me as the first fic to read (she's evil like that). I've binged it (and OBSABH) the last couple days - and am absolutely in love. I'm now trying to savour the one-shots and limit myself to one a day - it's like Season 1 ending all over again and my poor heart can't take leaving the universe you created behind!! I'm distracting myself with FFYC for now :D Thank you so much <3

Ahhhhh, thank you!! And I’ve actually got a few more oneshots set in that universe planned over the next few months as well, so hopefully that’ll help your heart a bit 😉

I've read everything in the Rivals series that you've posted on Ao3 (although I'm still catching up on the extra stuff you have here) and I absolutely love it. Forgive me if this has already been asked, but do you plan on doing any ficlets from Chris's POV during the main story? I just love that he thought Yuri was some sort of player, and I want to see more of his reaction to their relationship as it developed, when they were separated and when they finally got together.

I am planning on doing a Chris ficlet, yes 😄. The next 3 R-PP&F ficlets will be a Chris POV, Viktor and Yuuri’s wedding night and a Phichit POV. I’m planning on writing them all around May-June time, once I’ve finished my current fic project and have a bit more free time as well

This is the Anonymous that asked you the Chris ficlet question. Just wanted to say how absolutely psyched I am about not only getting the Chris ficlet I've desired since I read the original story, but also a wedding night ficlet and a Phichit POV ficlet???? My heart can't take this, I'm just so happy. Thankk you for being so awesome. Now I'm off to read some of your other work. I love your writing so I think this may hold me over until May/June. :-D

I just wanted to let you know that you basically ruined me for yoi when I wasn't that into it. I mean, I watched the anime, thought it was cute but found it ~ in some places, and then I kind of just stumbled on the premise of your fic while searching for something completely unrelated & was like: "Yes. This. This is what I wanted of this anime." And let me tell you, that rollercoaster of a read was fantastic even if I spent whole nights reading it obsessively till daylight & fucked up my shedule

Also, will there ever be a Phichit pov chapter? I’m gonna be one of those people, which I hate, but I love that little shit with all my heart, and I have so many headcanons about him and his career it’s unreal

Omg, thank you so much! Although I apologise for wrecking your sleep schedule ;) As for a Phichit chapter, there will be one! I’m not writing any more R-PP&F until May/June time to give myself time to deal with real life stuff, and also finish my newest fic project, but I promise that the Phichit chapter will get written at some point soon!

Rivals Poll

So, I’m hopefully going to have the next chapter of FFYC up this weekend which means that soon I’ll start working on the next chapter of Rivals - Past, Present and Future. The next chapter is going to be focused on Viktor and Yuuri immediately after the GPF once they’re finally officially together, including the first time they sleep together as a couple and switch. Since I know this is something people have been looking forward to I decided to choose who’s POV it was in by popular vote, Viktor’s or Yuuri’s. Please reply to this post with your choice and whichever is most popular will be what I go with!
