Dabbling with R: Function to download Yahoo stock prices data

I am a newbie in R programming and one of the projects I planned to start with was developing a function to download stock prices from yahoo finance. 

Here is the function definition:

Note: When I tried pasting the following code in here, Tumblr messed it up so posted the snapshots.

Here is the example of the function called:

Put the dates in dd/mm/yyyy format and the "d" at the last is for daily data, for weekly put "w", for monthly put "m".

I recently started working on R and am totally in love with this language. A very user friendly language and open-source. What else can you ask for!
