R & T!

R: Which writers (fanfic or otherwise) do you consider the biggest influence on you and your writing?

I guess everything I've ever read? I think it depends on what I'm writing, my main project right now is high fantasy so I'm mainly looking at Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, little bit of Angie Sage probably, but this particular bit I'm writing is boat based so I went and read Treasure Island and Jim's not been on a boat before and a lot of the journey gets skimmed but I'm following the same "chuck some sailing words in there and have the main pov character have no experience or anything" way of writing it, who's going to know the difference anyway. I might read Kidnapped and Catronia again, those are Stevenson too, and I haven't read them for a while but Kidnapped at least I'm sure has an extended part on a ship.

T: Any fanfic tropes you can’t stand?

The one I can't spell where unrequited love makes them cough up flowers until it gets reciprocated or they die. It just feels bad.

I have fantastic shoulders. Like, they are absolutely incredible.

My ambitions are pretty rad. I’m going to be a nurse in the navy one day.

I think my cat likes me. She sleeps in my bed and makes me her food giver.

I’m becoming more and more like my mom, but I love my mother and I do look up to her a lot so I think that’s an ok thing. Even if it does mean poop jokes get funnier.

I can tell you facts about myself, but nice things is weird. Like, it makes me feel like I’m being super egotistical, which is ultra weird because I almost always have confidence in myself and say “fuck you” to the people who call it egotistical.
