Reading Rush photo challenge day 1: Recreate a Book Cover // Soooo…I didn’t realize until I’d finished this picture that I kinda did the same thing as last year for this prompt. We’re starting off the Rush great 🤣 I like messing with photoshop for my recreations and I just wish I was good enough to take my fingers out of the photo. But here it is, my Wicked King recreation! What’s up friends! Happy Monday and happy first day of The Reading Rush! So uh for a good portion of yesterday I thought today’s Instagram challenge was to dress like a book cover. And that’s not what it was haha. 🏒 The actual challenge for today is to recreate a book cover! I went with my biography of Keith Magnuson as it was a fairly easy cover to recreate. I already own a red Blackhawks jersey so it was simple to throw it on and pose in front of my bookcase like Magnuson on the cover! 🏒 I read this book back when I was in college and really loved learning about Magnuson. He played for the Hawks from 69-79, so right after the Cup era and the decline that followed. He was a feisty defenseman with a good heart, which tracks for my favorite types of players haha. I seem to like guys who are feisty on the ice but huge sweethearts off of it haha. 🏒 If you are a Blackhawks fan or like hockey, I’d recommend this book! It was fun to try and recreate it for The Reading Rush today!
