The news had gotten out around the town: a new farmer was going to be moving in! Katie always got excited when someone new was coming to town. This meant that she would be able to make new friends! Any opportunity to make new friends always caught her eye, so when she found out the news, she was the first to ask the mayor if it would be okay if she showed them around. A new place was always daunting, and she knew that from experience. So, she would make sure that this new villager would feel just as welcomed as she had felt when she first moved to Leaf Valley.
The day had finally arrived where the said farmer was to make their appearance. Usually any normal person would be waiting at the town hall for the individual to check in, but Katie felt that was a little impersonal. So, she decided that the best way would be to wait for the farmer at his farm! It was a no brainer right! A moment passed her mind where she felt a little bit of doubt and that the gesture might be a little creepy, but she dismissed it when she realised that it was just being friendly. Besides, she had even baked a cake to welcome them too!
As she saw them pulling up, herself leaning on a nearby tree with a cake in her hands, the girl put an arm up to wave at the man pulling in. “Hey! Hey Hey! Welcome! I’m Katie, I’m here to welcome you and show you around!” she exclaimed. “Unless that’s weird because I can totally leave!”
