Happy 5th anniversary to when I decided to abandon the original plot of Original RS

I love how Mira's parents constantly remind her that she's lucky they adopted her and that she should be grateful while they also treat her like property

my favourite characters from RSv are the OG characters, *looks at smudged writing on my hand* Elby, Remly, and Mir

Orla: Who are you all dolled up for?

Mira: Myself, of course. But you're welcome to enjoy my presence.

Orla, rolling her eyes: Ugh.

Orla, in her head: 😳😳😳

she did baby dragon crimes so Mira put her in timeout (ref: x)

thinking about how Elly didn’t properly wear shoes until she was about five, and then one time she got bitten by a harmless little garden snake and she refused to walk on grass for like a week, so when she followed Remy all over the village to his chores, he would piggyback her across the fields

then one day he bought her a pair of shoes and told her they were made to scare off little snakes, and then he took her to the valley to run around and play, and at the end of the day she walked back home with him halfway until he had to carry her because she was tired

one time in RS, Elly stays over at Mira's and later hears the piano so she sneaks downstairs and just sits on the bottom step and listens while keeping out of sight 😌

so in Original RS, a lot of the downtime takes place on a ship. in my mind this ship has never been consistent. its internal structure and size keeps changing. because I could never make up my mind and I think what I really wanted all along was for all the characters to live together in a big house.

I already think in the rewrite I'll reduce the role of the ship.

or I can upgrade it to a magic ship that constantly changes and defies logic because that seems fun.
