And I’m weirdly chill about the whole thing.
I don’t LIKE it, don’t get me wrong, but I can accept it, and I can look forward to the rest of the playoffs. I’m not gonna lose sleep over it, or at least not as much as I would have done once.
We’ve had a good year! Papi retired from a GOOD team instead of the clusterfuck that was 2014/15, the youth are really coming along, Hanley Ramirez happened... A lot of positive has happened this year.
Plus, if we go, and the Giants go (please god let the Giants go), then at the very least a 23-year ringless streak is gonna be snapped, and more if the Jays don’t win. It’s a sucky time to be a Red Sox fan, of course, but It’s a pretty cool time to be a baseball fan.
Still. It would have been nice.
