Album Number Two Hundred Twenty Three. “Backless” is the sixth full-length studio album by #EricClapton Produced by #GlynJohns, and released by #RSORecords, #Backless reached No. 8 on the pop charts. While the single "Promises" only reached No. 37 in the UK, it was a much bigger success in the US, reaching No. 9 on the Billboard charts. The follow-up single, "Watch Out for Lucy", was the B-side of "Promises", but reached No. 40 on the Billboard charts on its own merit. Later in 1980 "Tulsa Time" was US #30 with 1977 song "Cocaine" as B-side. It was Clapton's last studio album to feature his longtime bassist Carl Radle who died in 1980. Album Number Two Hundred Twenty Two “Slowhand” is the fifth full-length studio album by Eric Clapton. Released on 25 November 1977 by #RSORecords and titled after Clapton's nickname, it is one of his most commercially and critically successful studio albums. #Slowhand produced the two hit singles "Lay Down Sally" and "Wonderful Tonight", reached various international music charts and was honoured with numerous awards and recording certifications. My copy is a gatefold on RSO Records - RS 1-3030 (the album cover suffered some water damage, though, but the vinyl is in good shape.) #ericClapton wanted to work with record producer #GlynJohns, because he thought Johns produced great work with famous groups like the #rollingstones and #theeagles and understood how to work with both British and American musicians. While in the studio with Johns, Clapton noted that the A-list producer was very disciplined and disliked jamming, because it would kill important recording time. Album Number Two Hundred Twenty One. “No Reason to Cry” is the fourth studio album by Eric Clapton, released by #rsorecords in 1976. My copy is on RSO Records - RSO 1-3004. The album was recorded at The Band's Shangri-la Studios in March 1976, and included involvement from all five members of The Band; #rickdanko shared vocals with #ericclapton on "All Our Past Times," which he co-wrote with Clapton. The album also includes a duet with #bobdylan on his otherwise unreleased song "Sign Language." #noreasontocry is one of Clapton's most internationally successful albums from the 1970s. Album Number One Hundred One “Blind Faith”’is the self-titled and only album by the English supergroup #blindfaithband originally released in 1969 on #polydorrecords in the United Kingdom and Europe and on #atlanticrecords in the United States. It topped the album charts in the UK, Canada and US, and was listed at No. 40 on the US Soul Albums chart. It has been certified platinum by the RIAA. My copy is a 1978 reissue on #rsorecords - RS-1-3016 (I covered parts, regrettably, but I don’t care to be jailed for unacceptable pictures. idk.) The cover was a photo by #bobseidemann of a topless 11 year old girl, #marioragoschen , holding a silver painted model of an aircraft sculpted for the album shoot by Mick Milligan. The cover was considered controversial, with some seeing the silver aircraft as potentially phallic.
