Mabinogi Crossover PvP
Okay, I'm planning a new type of Team PvP for a possible upcoming monthly Tournament. Prizes will vary, and if if this event turns out to be enjoyable and if many agrees on it, I'll continue to support it for as long as I can.
Depending on how many players participates, It'll be iether 2v2 or 3v3. Preferably 3v3 to make the match more intense, and it'll be first to 3 matches. There will be some skills to be considered forbidden, as it may be deemed too unfair or too cheap. I.E, Mirage Missle, Way of the Gun, etc. Anyone caught using it will automatically be disqualified. And since it's a team reliant play, You'll put your own team at a disadvantage, by having your team one person shorter. I'll try to list down any forbidden skills later on.
Before I begin, Team Communication is highly recommended. Voice chat is highly prefered. The team can figure out some sort of battle strategy to achieve victory, by working together and discussing team moves to play it out.
Player on Point:
This means the person who is actually on the field, that will be fighting. Regular PvP rules applies here. Carry on like any other PvP matches. Pretty much, your goal is to try to win, without any cornering, calling your team mates to help you when you need it.
Assist Players:
This is the main mechanism of this Event. Depending on amount of players per team, each are to have back up assisting players behind the lines, only to jump in when allowed to. Before the match begins, There will be The first person to fight, being the Player on Point, while the rest are assists. The team is free to tag out at anytime, as long as the Player on Point can reach outside the battlefield, in order to make that switch. If you are to be knock out of the battlefield by your opponent, or walking out on your own, players must perform a tag, unless there is only one player left standing on that team. The Point player are free from the battlefield restrictions for being a standalone only.
Each player on the team, are entitled ONE Skill or Attack, per match. Team members are to provide which skills they are planning to use, to the host, and are to only use that skill, when called as an assist. Each assist must also endure a cool down, after using their skill, which I've decided to have the breathing animation to begin, and then end on its own, before you can be called again.
When an assist is called in, They are to jump into the battle field, and perform their chosen ability, and then jump back out of the field. You are not to do anything else, aside from escaping the field, enter your cooldown, and wait on standby. Those that doesn't follow the cooldown rule, will be penalized by up to 3 times per person, and then you will be disqualified.
Now for the tricky part. If the Assist is to be interupted by another player, when they jump into the field, regardless of being able to perform their abilities or not, they must leave the field upon getting up. This will be considered Assist Canceling. Also, regardless of being able to perform their ability, The assisting player can use any non attacking skills, excluding Hide and Play Dead, , to escape the battlefield, if neccessary. I.E Tumble, Evasion. This will prevent the assisting player being killed on accident, and not having a proper turn. Though if you do get killed performing your back up... Then that's a loss for the team. Using the arrows keys are recommended when escaping the field so you do not accidently attack a side player.
Another perks of having a good team, is that each team is allowed ONE, Crossover Attack, which allows all your team mates to go into the field at once, regardless of cooldown, and perform any one skill to their choosing, not being restricted by the One Skill Restriction. Although any legal skills can be used, you are still only entitled to perform it once. After the deed is performed, the two assisting players must jump back out of the field and enter the usual cooldown. If for some reason any of the players are to be interupted, they must fall back as a result. As with the previous stament, Assisting players can use any non attacking skills to escape the field.
Forbidden Skills: These are not to be used at any time during the match. Doing so will automatically disqualify that player.
Ice Spear
Final Hit
Way of the Gun
Mirage Missle
More to come later.
Screenshots and Videos will be provided later on how it will be played out. Event will continously updated til stated as Final.
